Project Detail:

The proposal is for extraction of coal by underground semi-mechanized mining from Brahampuri coal mine. The lease area is located in Pench-Kanhan coalfield spread over an area of 360 ha at villages Bichhua Pathar, Chhinda, Kukurmunda, Sethia & Sirgoda and Forest Block: 61-Thaori, Tehsil Parasia, District Chhindwara, of Madhya Pradesh. Out of 360 ha of lease area, 150.098 ha area falls under forest land (Reserve Forest 32.475 ha, Protected Forest 29.181 ha and Revenue Forest 88.442 ha), and 209.902 ha area falls under non-forest land (Govt. land 25.267 ha and Private land 184.635 ha).
The detailed exploration has been done by MECL. It is proposed to produce 0.36 Million Ton/Annum of coal by underground semi-mechanized method of mining.
Total Project cost is INR 191 Cr included Land, Development and Machinery Cost
