The project area is a virgin/new land. Except exploration through core drilling, no other exploration/ mining activities were ever undertaken. The entire target area is mineralized. The area has been explored by GSI & MECL through 85 number of drill holes (5363.1 m) at a spacing of 200 X 200 m. The exploration conforms to G-2 category under UNFC guidelines. Anticipated life of mine would be 50 years from execution of mining lease. Opencast fully mechanized mining method is proposed to be adopted including drilling, blasting, loading and transportation to the crusher. One quarry is proposed to be developed to produce iron ore during initial stage of mining.

Water will be utilized for green belt development, sprinkling on haul roads, drinking purpose etc. during mining operations and 370 KLD shall be met from surface water (nala) & harvested rain water water (for industrial purposes) and 94 KLD from ground Water (for drinking &domestic purpose). The expected employment generation from the project is 258. The project cost is estimated as Rs. 380 crores. The power demand for the proposed mine will be 200 KVA which shall be sourced from the nearest line of TPWODL through its nearby network system. There is no resettlement or rehabilitation and no diversion of nala. The project will develop new road from ML to Koida to dispatch iron ore from the mine.
