Project Detail:
The company proposes an Alumina Refinery located at Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh). It intends to propose a green field project to an economic production level of 150,000TPA calcined alumina in an economical way by putting High Temperature (245°C) digestion system. In the present report, material and energy balance is calculated based on the feed grade established for Calcined Alumina plant. Further, the basis for the process design, flow diagram, process design parameters and process description along with a list of equipment are provided in this report. Manpower requirement for the proposed refinery is worked out with the skill set, adjusted to plant conditions. The salary structure for the locals and experienced professionals will be provided for the operation of this refinery in Indian condition. Study was taken up in and around the proposed refinery sites and one of the locations was short listed to be ideal and most appropriate based on number of site selection criteria. Local team of company will work on the Environmental impact and assessment for this refinery including red mud disposal. However, it is important to note that detail ESIA (Environmental & Social Impact Analysis) will be carried out before construction stage. EAS Consultant already appointed and has commenced the study.
Total capital cost estimate for the proposed 150KTPA plant works out to be INR 6180.73 Million. The financial charges have
been included in the cost estimate. The capital cost estimate has been provided in the report
Project Implementation Schedule: Most of the proposed facilities can be set-up in a maximum time period of 24 months, provided front availability is ensured. However, the most critical activity dictating the overall schedule for the subject project implementation turns out to be Steam and Power section. This has been critically reviewed to estimate overall implementation time period.
