Project Detail:
The Mining Block area of 144.95Ha is located in Nanar Village, Rajapur Taluka of Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra State. The Mining Block area falls in Survey of India Toposheet no. 47H/6 and bounded by latitude of 16° 30' 38.83" N to 16° 32' 17.28" & longitude of 73° 26’ 46.70" E to 73° 27’ 39.78".
The Mining Block area is having about 10.00 million tonnes of Bauxite Reserves & Resources. The proposed Bauxite mine shall be developed by opencast mechanized mining method. The extracted bauxite will be sold domestically or further exported. Considering the ore production of 2.2 million tonnes during the present approved mining plan period (i.e. 5 years after the execution of Mining Block) and subsequent 0.9 million tonnes per annum of ore production, the expected life of the mine is about 14 years from the date of execution of mining operations. However, additional drilling suggested during the plan period may upgrade the resource and enhance the life of the mine. The Block is valid for 50 years.
