Project Detail:

The proposed Rammam Stage-III project is a run of the river scheme utilizing power potential of Rammam River from elevation El. 900.0 m to El. 385.0 m. The project comprises of the following components:
• Barrage/dam as a diversion structure
• HRT (Head Race Tunnel)
• Surge Shaft
• Surface Penstock
• Vertical Pressure Shaft
• Power House
• Tail Race Channel (TRC)
• Intake tunnel
• Underground desilting chamber

The project is in advance stage of construction and anticipated completion of its all three units (i.e. I, II & III) is by is by November 2022.
Total Cost of the Project is;
• As per EC: Rs. 633.92/= Crores
• As per Inv. Approval: Rs. 1,381.84 Crores (2nd Qtr, 2014)
