Project Detail:
The company is proposing 300 KLPD Grain Based Ethanol Plant at Village Buttar Seviyan, Tehsil Baba Bakala, District Amritsar, Punjab. Buttar Biofuels Private Limited is a sister concern of Rana Sugar Limited. Rana Sugar Limited has an existing sugar mill having 5000 TCD capacity along with 44.2 MW Cogeneration Power Plant at Village Buttar Seviyan, Tehsil Baba Bakala, District Amritsar, Punjab. The proposed distillery of Buttar Biofuels Private Limited will be installed in the existing sugar mill campus of Rana Sugars Limited.
The Project will be based Grain based and with Zero Effluent Discharge system. The Ethanol Plant will put up the most modern technology for effluent treatment which ensures Zero discharge. Power and steam requirement will be sourced from the adjacent sugar mill (Rana Sugar Limited). The land use is industrial as there is a sugar mill already operational adjacent to the proposed site.
The project will start only after obtaining Environmental Clearance and all other required clearance and will
complete within 15 months of commencement.
Total cost of the Project: Rs. 90.0 Crores
Cost for Environment Protection Measures:
Capital Cost: Rs. 15.0 Crores
Recurring Cost/annum: Rs. 1.5 Crores/annum
