Project Detail:
The company has intends to expand the port facilities to cater to the increased traffic demand. The expansion plan includes some of the activities provided to be done under earlier EC such as liquid berth and sea water intake and return pipeline, balance bund works that could not be completed. The expansion plan additionally involves building additional infrastructure for handling of various cargoes by further increasing the depth for vessels and additional reclamation of land.
The Project shall be implemented within shortest possible time once all the permission and clearance from State and Central statutory bodies are obtained. It is estimated that since the start of the construction work it will take 7 years to commission the Terminal.
The summary of the tentative capital cost estimate comes out to be Rs. 9,785 Cr.
