Project Detail:
Project is Widening and improvement of existing carriage way to 4-laning of Villupuram (Km 0.000) - Nagapattinam (179.555) Section of NH-45A in the State of TN/UT Puducherry under NHDP Phase-IV.
The project is widening and improvement of existing 2 lane with/without Paved Shoulder & 4 lane divide carriageway at Puducherry, Cuddalore & Nagapattinam town to 4-lane divided carriageway of entire project road.
8 Bypasses are proposed along the project road namely Villupuam Bypass, Combined Puducherry & Cuddalore Bypass, B.Mutloor Bypass, Chidambaram link Bypass, Kollidam Bypass, Sattanathapuram Bypass, Thirukadaiyur & Kalayappanallur Bypass, Karaikal & Vanjur Bypass.
Major Bridge- 16, Minor Bridge – 66, Box Culvert –599, ROB – 11, VUP – 13, LVUP – 22, Flyover – 29 Interchange – 2 are proposed along the project stretch for free passage to villagers & domesticated animals and to avoid any impact on local hydrology.
Total length of the project in Tamil Nadu is 144.655 and Puducherry UT is 34.90 Km with 45-60 m Right of Way (RoW).
The estimated Total Project Cost is about INR 5154.14 Cr.
