Project Detail:
Development of Economic Corridors, Inter Corridors, Feeder Routes and Coastal corridors to improve the Efficiency of Freight Movement in India under Bharatmala Pariyojana ( Tamilnadu – Package – 8 – Lot – 4) - Kumbakonam – Sirkazhi
The proposed project is Construction of new link starts at Km 118.175 on NH 36 (old NH 45C) near Kallappuliyur ends at Km 5.550 on NH 32 near Panamangalam.
The land use pattern in 10 km either side of the project road is predominately cultivated and barren fields.
The proposed project does not involve diversion of any forest land. The project neither pass through any National park/ Wildlife Sanctuary/ Conservation reserve etc., nor falls within 10 km boundary of any Protected Area under Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
The proposed land acquisition for the proposed alignment is approx 254.31ha. The proposed RoW is 60 m.
The proposed road will have 1 no of major bridge, 21 nos. of minor bridges, 0 nos. of RoB, 182 nos. of culverts , 1nos. of vehicular overpass, 15 pedestrian/ cattle underpass,10 nos of VUPs and LVUPs and 1 no. of Toll plaza. There is provision of 16 bus shelters without bus bayes (both sides).
The total estimated project civil cost is approximately 749.51 Carores.
