Project Details: The IOCL refineries in Panipat and Mathura get their crude from Mundra and Vadinar ports in Gujarat via pipelines. These pipelines are currently operating at near capacity utilization levels. As the refineries expand, corresponding augmentation will be required in the crude pipelines as well. The current capacity of Salaya to Mathura pipeline that feeds crude to the refineries in Koyali, Mathura and Panipat is around 21 MMTPA and IOCL has plans to augment its capacity to 25 MMTPA. Further augmentation of the pipeline to around 40 MMTPA to cater to the needs of the future expansions of Panipat, Mathura and Koyali refinery would be required.
