Project Details :
The main objective of Chhaigaon Makhan Lift Micro Irrigation Scheme is to provide irrigation facilities to the water-scarce areas in upper reaches of Pandhana and Khandwa, tehsils of Khandwa district where the level of irrigation is much less as compared to national average. The Chhaigaon Makhan Lift Micro Irrigation Scheme has been conceived to cater to irrigation water requirement for about 35,000 ha CCA in Khandwa district in 58 villages. The need of drinking water will also be taken care of where ever required.In the proposed scheme, 12.46 cumec of water from Indira Sagar main canal will be lifted through 2710 mm dia M.S. pipe rising main of about 10.20 km length & up to village Roshiya. This will be further carried through 8.8 km long M.S. pipe of 2200 mm dia up to the junction structure at village Bhojakhedi, District Khandwa. 58 villages of Khandwa district will be benefitted by the scheme. Provision for a number of outlets has been made to cater the need of domestic water usages. In the present proposal the main canal and disnet system is completely designed as piped canal.
