Project Details :
The demand of the product among the local farmers is one of the strong factors besides contribution to the agricultural growth of the country, considered by Dhanlaxmi Biochem Pvt. Ltd. proposes to set up a 200000 MTPA Greenfield Single Super Phosphate (Powder & Granulated) manufacturing plant of at village Chiyada, Taluka: Bavla, Ahmedabad. As powder Single Super Phosphate is not convenient to use for agriculture purposes and also prone to adulteration, farmers prefer to use Granulated Single Super Phosphate in their farms/fields. GSSP is preferred due to the following reasons;
* Less affected by wind & moisture
* Easier for application through machines
* Slower solubility
* Less wastage due to sloppy land or water flow with higher current.
Moreover Government of India is also encouraging farmers to use more granules to minimize the adulteration. Looking to the above, a need is felt to convert all SSP into GSSP. Therefore, M/s Dhanlaxmi proposes put up SSP & GSSP Plant of capacity 200000MT/Annum. Proposed project area profile that includes latitude and longitude of the site are presented in the following Table 2.1The project site is regular in shape. The curvature of the project site is almost flat with undulating at some locations where there are wild shrubs and soil was also bounded by grass at places. Basic raw materials for SSP manufacturing are Rock Phosphate and Sulphuric Acid. Required raw materials i.e. Rock Phosphate shall be imported and will come from Egypt
and Rajasthan mines and minerals. However, Sulphuric acid may be sourced from local suppliers based on its availability, quality and cost mainly from local market. Total land area under possession of Dhanlaxmi Biochem Private Limited is 50,890 sq. m. About 16700 sq. m. area has been kept for green area and greenbelt development.
