Project details :-
This is a greenfield coal fired power project of 1,320 (2x660) MW capacity and will use state-of-the-art supercritical boiler technology for steam generation. At 85% PLF the 1320 MW capacity plant will require about 5.38 million tonnes of coal annually (MTPA). The water requirement will be approx. 3,478 m3/hr. which will be taken from the distributary (Malawan -Rajwaha) of the Lower Ganga Canal (LGC), at a distance of about 4 km from site. About 865 acres of land has been earmarked for the proposed plant including ash pond. The land has already been acquired in the name of JVUNL for industrial use. Approx.100 acres of non-agricultural/unused land will be acquired or purchased directly from land owners for development of township.
