Project Title :Jupiter Wagons arm inks MoUs with Chalukya Power, Pickrenew Energy for 110 MWh BESS projects
Company Name : Private Company
Project Detail :Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons, has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Chalukya Power and Pickrenew Energy to add 110 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects to its orderbook for FY 2026–27.
The deals include a mix of utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) deployments aimed at improving grid stability, renewable energy integration, and industrial energy management across India. The company is targeting a combined orderbook of Rs 200 crore in the battery and storage segment within FY27, reflecting growing commercial traction and execution capabilities. Over the longer term, JEM Energy aims to scale its revenue in the BESS vertical to Rs 1,000 crore by FY2030.
With these new agreements, JEM Energy’s BESS orderbook has risen to over Rs 150 crore, including projects with private renewable energy developers as well as public sector undertakings such as Power Grid Corporation (PGCIL). This growth strategy is supported by India’s expanding energy storage market, driven by policy mandates requiring four-hour storage integration in renewable projects, and viability gap funding schemes for standalone storage.
