| Project Detail : | The Chhattisgarh government has officially approved the Urban Gas Distribution Policy 2026, aiming to expand access to piped natural gas (PNG) across urban areas. The policy, finalised during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on 29 April, 2026, seeks to enhance the State's City Gas Distribution (CGD) network, supporting India's clean energy transition. The policy establishes a framework for the phased expansion of gas infrastructure, prioritizing last-mile connectivity and ensuring affordable, reliable, and environmentally friendly fuel for residential, commercial, and industrial users.
