| Project Detail : | Royal Enfield is set to secure a land parcel for a greenfield manufacturing facility in Tada (Tirupati), Andhra Pradesh. The company plans to invest approx. Rs 2,500 crore in this expansion. Subject to board approval, the project will be executed in a phased manner, carefully calibrated to future market demand and economic conditions. Currently, Royal Enfield’s annual production capacity stands at 14.6 lakh motorcycles, which is operating close to full utilisation. The company is already executing a separate Rs 958 crore expansion at its Cheyyar plant in Tamil Nadu to increase its immediate total capacity to 20 lakh units. The planned Andhra Pradesh facility is aimed at supporting long-term growth and export trajectories. Beyond its domestic infrastructure, Royal Enfield operates seven CKD assembly facilities globally, maintains two advanced technical centers, and has a retail presence spanning over 3,200 stores across 80 countries. Govindarajan, Managing Director - Eicher Motors., and Chief Executive Officer - Royal Enfield said, “Royal Enfield's philosophy has always been to stay connected with our community to deliver the best possible products and experiences. We currently operate four world-class manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu, with a total projected capacity of 2 million units annually. This investment in Andhra Pradesh will augment that capacity and provide the impetus for our next phase of growth. |
