Project Title :Gurugram to get five elevated corridors and multiple flyovers to ease traffic congestion
Company Name : Private Company
Project Detail :Gurugram is set for a major urban mobility upgrade as the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has proposed five elevated road corridors and seven flyovers and underpasses to create signal-free routes and reduce chronic traffic congestion across the city.
lan focuses on high-density stretches that currently experience heavy vehicular load and frequent bottlenecks. The proposed elevated corridors include NH-8 to Vatika Chowk and Vatika Chowk to Ghata Chowk along Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), Rajiv Chowk to Atul Kataria Chowk, Mahavir Chowk to IFFCO Chowk, and Atul Kataria Chowk to Dwarka Expressway via Old Delhi–Gurgaon Road. These corridors are expected to significantly improve traffic flow on key urban arteries. In addition, seven flyovers and underpasses are planned at major intersections such as Dadi Sati Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk, and Millennium City Centre to further decongest the road network. Overall, GMDA has also approved 51 road infrastructure projects worth about Rs 386 crore, with several already allotted for execution.
The initiative is part of a broader urban development roadmap aimed at improving mobility, drainage, green infrastructure, and civic amenities through coordinated planning and faster implementation.
