| Project Detail : | Jindal Stainless has announced an additional investment of Rs 900 crore to enhance downstream capacities in India. This dual move reflects the company’s focus on building a fully integrated value chain, combining upstream melting operations with high-value downstream processing. The new investment will expand cold rolling capacities at plants in Hisar and Kharagpur. These expansions are aimed at producing thinner, high-precision stainless steel products for high-growth sectors, improving value addition and margins. By FY28, the company’s total cold rolling capacity is expected to reach 2.67 MTPA, accounting for a significant share of its overall production. Jindal Stainless is targeting a sales volume of 3.5 MTPA by FY29. With 16 manufacturing facilities and a presence in 12 countries, the company is also positioning itself to cater to global markets including the US, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and Japan. The company has strengthened its global expansion strategy with the successful commissioning of a stainless steel melt shop in Indonesia. |
