| Project Detail : | MSP Steel and Power's Board of Directors has approved a capital expenditure programme to expand its existing integrated steel manufacturing facilities at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh. The expansion will strengthen integration within existing operations and help the company meet rising demand for its products, including premium TMT bars, structural steel, and pipes. The project does not involve diversification into new product segments and remains within the company’s core business. The total investment requirement is estimated at around Rs 500 crore, which will be allocated towards refurbishment, replacement, upgradation, repairs, and maintenance of plant and machinery to ensure smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The project will be funded through a combination of debt and internal accruals or promoter contribution. Upon completion, the expansion is expected to add approx. 6,21,800 tonne to the company’s existing capacity of 16,02,000 tonne, which includes sponge iron, billet, and rolling mill operations. The implementation will be carried out in phases, subject to necessary statutory approvals and conditions, and is expected to be completed within the timeline approved by the Board. MSP Steel and Power Limited, headquartered in Kolkata with manufacturing operations in Chhattisgarh, continues to focus on strengthening its production base and improving competitiveness in the domestic steel market. |
