The initiative was launched in Lucknow in collaboration with Tata Power Battery Storage and combines rooftop solar systems, battery storage solutions, and financing support under a single platform. The campaign aims to address rising electricity demand by offering consumers a cost-effective and sustainable energy solution. As part of the initiative, the company plans to install three lakh rooftop solar systems across Uttar Pradesh over the next three years, targeting a cumulative installed capacity of 1,000 MWp. By integrating battery storage and simplified financing options, the programme seeks to make solar energy more accessible to households throughout the state. Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing rooftop solar markets, supported by strong policy initiatives and growing consumer interest in renewable energy. The state offers subsidies of up to Rs 1.08 lakh for residential systems up to three kW through combined benefits under the PM Surya Ghar programme and state incentives. Tata Power Solar Rooftop operates under Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL). |
