| Project Detail : | South Central Railway has invited bids for multiple road over bridge (ROB) construction projects worth Rs 188.56 crore across the Vijayawada Division in Andhra Pradesh to improve rail-road connectivity. se are planned under different sections of the Gudur–Vijayawada (GDR-BZA) railway corridor and aim to replace existing level crossings with modern two-lane ROBs. The proposed works include construction of a road over bridge in lieu of Level Crossing (LC) No. 213 between Ongole and Karavadi stations, along with three additional two-lane ROBs replacing LC Nos. 275, 278 and 281 between Tenali and Nidubrolu stations. These projects are expected to reduce traffic congestion, eliminate delays caused by railway crossings and improve transportation efficiency in the region. The total completion period for the projects is 18 months from the commencement date. The last date for submission of bids has been fixed as 02 June, 2026. |
