| Project Detail : | Greater Noida is set for a major infrastructure boost after the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) approved a large-scale road expansion project aimed at improving regional connectivity. The plan focuses on extending an existing eight-lane, 105-mtrs.-wide arterial road from Sector Alpha 2 near Bodaki village towards the Hapur bypass. Under the proposal, the road will be extended by 37 km to reach the Hapur bypass, followed by an additional 15 km stretch connecting it to the Ganga Expressway, a key high-speed corridor in Uttar Pradesh. Once completed, the project is expected to significantly reduce travel time, enabling commuters to access the expressway within 30 to 45 minutes. The expansion has been incorporated into the Master Plan 2041 and is seen as a critical step in enhancing connectivity between Greater Noida and surrounding regions. The project had faced delays earlier due to land acquisition issues, but progress has accelerated following renewed focus on infrastructure development after the expressway’s inauguration. Officials believe the project will boost economic activity, improve logistics efficiency, and support urban growth by strengthening road connectivity across the region. |
