| Project Detail : | The Madhya Pradesh government has approved the development of a new logistics park in Indore district with an anticipated investment of more than Rs 600 crore, aimed at strengthening the supply chain infrastructure. The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has allotted approx. 23 hectares of land in Machal village to a private developer for the project. The logistics park is expected to play a key role in enhancing goods transportation efficiency and supporting industrial growth in the region. Strategically located, the facility will have direct connectivity to the Indore–Ahmedabad National Highway and will also be linked to the Pithampur industrial area, one of central India’s major manufacturing hubs. This connectivity is expected to improve the speed and efficiency of freight movement, reduce transportation costs and streamline supply chain operations. Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director of MPIDC’s Indore unit, said, "With the implementation of this project, Indore will strengthen its position as a major logistics hub of the country." The investment is also expected to generate employment opportunities, attract additional industrial investments and support the state’s broader economic development objectives through improved infrastructure and connectivity. |
