| Project Title : | YCH Group to invest up to Rs 1,000-cr in India, plans major logistics parks in Chennai and Bengaluru |
| Company Name : | Ych Group |
| Project Detail : | Singapore-based YCH Group plans to invest up to Rs 1,000 crore in India over the next three to five years to expand its logistics and supply chain footprint. The company intends to establish major integrated logistics parks in Chennai and Bengaluru while also exploring opportunities in Mumbai’s Bhiwandi region, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar. According to Group CEO Robert Yap, India offers strong growth potential across electronics, e-commerce, aviation, and semiconductor industries, where efficient, technology-driven supply chains are becoming essential. Its first major project is expected near Sriperumbudur in the Chennai region, where the company already operates its largest India facility, a 3.5 lakh sq. ft. warehouse spread across 20 acres with capacity for about 45,000 pallet positions. The proposed Chennai logistics district park is expected to attract investments of around Rs 400–500 crore, covering land acquisition, infrastructure development, automation technologies, and storage systems. YCH has approached State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) for additional land allocation. Future logistics parks are expected to cover 30–40 acres, with built-up areas ranging from five lakh to 10 lakh sq. ft. The investment strategy aligns with rising demand for modern logistics infrastructure as manufacturers diversify supply chains and expand domestic production. "Our planned investments reflect YCH's long-term commitment to building future-ready, technology-driven supply chain ecosystems in India," said Jossy Sebastian, Country General Manager - India, YCH India. |
