| Project Detail : | The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) and the Public Works Department (PWD) have launched a joint infrastructure initiative to develop 205 km of industrial roads across key industrial regions of Rajasthan under a Rs 291 crore plan. The project aims to strengthen connectivity to industrial zones and improve logistics efficiency across the state. Under the plan, 38 approach roads serving RIICO industrial areas will be upgraded through widening and strengthening works. The project spans multiple industrial locations, including Abu Road, Ajmer, Balotra, Banswara, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Churu, Dausa, Jaipur, Jalore, Jhalawar, Kota, Neemrana, Sawai Madhopur, Sri Ganganagar and Udaipur. These roads fall under PWD jurisdiction and are being developed under a 50:50 cost-sharing arrangement between RIICO and PWD. The total estimated cost for the project is approx. Rs 290–Rs 291 crore, with RIICO already contributing its share for the first phase. Administrative and financial approvals have been granted, and the tendering process is set to begin for execution of the works. PWD will undertake construction, widening and strengthening activities as part of the development plan. In addition, the government has approved an extra Rs 143 crore for improving drinking water infrastructure in industrial areas across Rajasthan, further supporting industrial growth and infrastructure development in the state. |
