| Project Detail : | PepsiCo plans to invest up to Rs 5,700 crore in India by 2030, primarily to expand the manufacturing capacity of its foods business. The investment will be directed toward strengthening production infrastructure across key locations, including Madhya Pradesh, Assam, and Tamil Nadu. A major portion of the investment will go into a concentrates plant in Madhya Pradesh and snacks manufacturing facilities in Assam and Tamil Nadu. Some of these projects are expected to become operational in the coming months, including the concentrates plant in Madhya Pradesh and the Northeast facility in Assam. The company’s India and South Asia CEO, Jagrut Kotecha, stated that India remains one of PepsiCo’s top regions, ranking among its top 13 globally, driven by strong growth potential and a favourable investment environment. He informed, "The land purchase, which we have just done recently in Tamil Nadu, will allow us to open a massive footprint in the South for our snacks business". PepsiCo has reported strong performance in India, achieving double-digit growth for the second consecutive year, with a revenue of Rs 9,789 crore for the year ending December 2025. The expansion reflects the company’s long-term commitment to capturing rising demand driven by increasing incomes and consumption growth in the country. |
