| Project Detail : | Global investor Permira has made its debut in India with a USD 100 million investment in SILA, a business services and real estate platform, reflecting the growing investor interest in property-linked services. Through this deal, Permira acquires a 40 percent stake in SILA, valuing the company at USD 250 million, or over Rs 2,300 crore. Existing investor Norwest Venture Partners is divesting 36 percent of its holdings, while angel investors are selling the remaining four percent. Norwest, which has invested a total of USD 54 million in SILA since 2019, will retain a significant minority position and continue its long-term partnership with the company. The funds from Permira will be used to strengthen SILA’s technology capabilities, expand adjacent service lines, and support growth across India. SILA provides integrated solutions in facility management, material handling equipment leasing, food catering, and real estate advisory, operating in over 125 cities, managing 450 million sq. ft. of real estate, and employing more than 60,000 people. The investment underscores India’s emergence as a hub for tech-enabled, platform-led service companies. |
