| Project Detail : | Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers has received in-principle board approval to invest Rs 865.25 crore in a new phosphoric acid plant at its Thal unit in Alibag. The plant is designed to produce 300 tonne per day on a 100 percent P2O5 basis and is expected to be operational within 24 months after receiving the letter of intent (LoI). The project aims to strengthen backward integration, reducing reliance on external phosphoric acid suppliers and associated costs, thereby improving operational efficiency. The investment will be financed through a mix of debt and equity, reflecting a balanced approach to funding while ensuring long-term sustainability. This new plant will enhance the company's self-sufficiency in phosphoric acid production and support RCF’s strategic growth objectives. Upon completion, the facility is expected to bolster the company’s production capabilities and contribute to a more cost-effective and secure supply chain, aligning with broader goals of operational excellence and industry competitiveness in India’s fertilizer sector. |
