| Project Detail : | Carrier Air Conditioning & Refrigeration has signed a lease deed with Sri City to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to sustainable and energy-efficient cooling solutions. Carrier plans to invest around Rs 1,000 crore in the facility, which is expected to create 1,000 direct, and an additional 2,000 indirect employment opportunities. The plant will incorporate green manufacturing practices, emphasise energy efficiency, and cater to the growing demand for sustainable commercial cooling solutions in domestic and international markets. This expansion complements Carrier’s existing operations in Haryana and aligns with its long-term strategy of sustainable growth in India, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, local manufacturing, and environmentally responsible operations. The upcoming plant will be developed on 39 acres in Sri City, further strengthening the region’s position as a major hub for air-conditioning and HVAC manufacturing in India. The project supports Andhra Pradesh’s vision of attracting technology-driven, high-value industries and building globally competitive industrial clusters. |
