| Project Detail : | Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced that the Group, along with Jio, will invest Rs 10 lakh crore over the next seven years to build artificial intelligence infrastructure and edge computing capabilities across India. Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Chairman Ambani said the investment is aimed at democratising access to AI and creating long-term national value. The initiative will include the development of gigawatt-scale data centres and edge facilities powered by Reliance’s in-house green energy storage, supported by up to 10 GW of surplus renewable power from Kutch and Andhra Pradesh. Jio plans to replicate its mobile internet success within the AI ecosystem, leveraging its 500 million subscribers Through Jio Intelligence, the company aims to enhance productivity, enable multilingual AI across Indian languages, ensure secure data residency, and generate skilled employment opportunities. |
