Company Name : Private Company
Project Detail :The Union Cabinet has approved three new corridors under Delhi Metro’s Phase V(A) expansion, adding 16 km to the network at a cost of Rs 12,014 crore. The project will be jointly funded by the Central government, the Delhi government and international lending agencies.
The approved stretches include R K Ashram Marg–Indraprastha, Aerocity–IGD Airport Terminal-1 and Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj. The expansion will significantly boost connectivity across central, south, west and north Delhi.
The R K Ashram Marg–Indraprastha corridor extends the Botanical Garden–R K Ashram Marg line and will provide direct metro access to the redeveloped Central Vista. It is expected to serve around 60,000 office-goers and nearly two lakh daily visitors, connecting key locations including the Kartavya Bhawans.
The Aerocity–IGD Airport Terminal-1 and Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj extensions will enhance access to the domestic airport and improve last-mile connectivity for south Delhi neighbourhoods such as Saket, Chhatarpur and Kalindi Kunj.
