| Project Detail : | The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a proposal to construct 49 new bus terminals across the state, featuring airport-like amenities, under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In the first phase, 23 bus terminals have already been approved, including three each in Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra. These modern terminals will be equipped with VIP lounges, restaurants, cinema halls, and other facilities aimed at enhancing the passenger experience. A new bus terminal is also under construction in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, with an estimated investment of Rs 1,000 crore. With the approval of the 49 new terminals, 52 districts in Uttar Pradesh will benefit from improved transport infrastructure. The project is expected to attract investments of around Rs 4,000 crore, with the previous 23 terminals already drawing investments worth Rs 2,500 crore. Tenders will be floated soon to select developers for the new terminals. |
