Project Title :Bihar approves Northern alignment of Patna Ring Road to boost connectivity
Company Name : National Highways Authority Of India.
Project Detail :The Bihar government has approved the alignment of the northern section of the Patna Ring Road, connecting Dighwara and Sarai, a move expected to enhance connectivity and boost regional development.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting in Patna on national highway projects and initiatives by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), chaired by Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra and attended by senior state officials. Bihar’s road construction department secretary, Pankaj Kumar Pal, provided updates on the broader Patna Ring Road project, including land acquisition, construction timelines, and traffic planning. The revised northern alignment is designed to improve travel for passengers heading to the proposed greenfield airport at Sonepur. In addition to easing local traffic, the project is expected to accelerate industrial growth in neighbouring districts such as Vaishali and Saran, creating new opportunities for trade and investment.
The development of this strategic infrastructure underscores Bihar’s commitment to improving regional connectivity, supporting economic expansion, and preparing for future transportation needs, while ensuring smoother, safer, and faster travel around Patna.
