| Project Detail : | The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has approved major industrial proposals involving investments of nearly Rs two lakh crore. The centerpiece of these approvals is Reliance Industries' plan to establish a Gigascale AI Data Center in the Chittoor district. With an investment of Rs 1,08,010 crore, the project will feature a cable landing station and nearly 850 MW of IT capacity, creating 1,000 direct employmentand extensive indirect employment. To foster innovation, the Cabinet cleared the establishment of ‘AP FIRST’ (Andhra Pradesh Future Innovation, Research, Science and Technology). This Section-8 company will utilise infrastructure from IIT and IISER Tirupati to drive advanced scientific research. Additionally, a comprehensive integrated horticulture development plan has been approved to transform the Rayalaseema region into a global horticulture hub, with the goal of doubling production. Collectively, these 40-plus projects are designed to accelerate economic growth, solidify the state’s status as a premier investment destination, and generate substantial employment across diverse sectors. These initiatives reflect a strategic push toward high-tech infrastructure, green energy, and agricultural modernization to ensure long-term regional resilience and global competitiveness. |
