| Project Detail : | Waaree Energies, India's largest solar PV module manufacturer, has signed and executed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (RUMSL) and the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company (MPPMCL) for the supply of 150 MW of solar power. The agreement marks a significant step towards expanding the country’s renewable energy capacity and supporting the decarbonisation goals of major power consumers, including Indian Railways. The solar power project is a part of the inter-state transmission system (ISTS), ensuring efficient generation and transmission of clean energy across regions. The energy generated will be supplied to MPPMCL and Indian Railways, furthering India’s commitment to meet its renewable energy targets and reduce dependency on fossil fuels. Waaree Energies currently boasts the largest aggregate installed capacity in India—15 GW for solar PV modules and 5.4 GW for solar cells. |
