| Project Title : | ?10,000 Cr Approved for Two New Highways to Decongest Delhi-NCR |
| Company Name : | Private Company |
| Project Detail : | In a major step to ease traffic congestion in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), the government has approved the construction of two mega highways with a combined investment of around ?10,000 crore. The first project involves a 17-kilometer-long highway that will connect the Urban Extension Road II (UER 2) to the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway near Tronica City. With an estimated cost of ?3,300 crore, the highway will significantly reduce traffic on key routes such as NH-48, NH-44, the Ring Roads, and the Barapullah elevated corridor. This link will also enhance connectivity for traffic coming from Haryana and Rajasthan towards Dehradun, starting from the Akshardham side of the Delhi-Dehradun corridor. The second project is a 65-kilometer highway connecting Tronica City to the under-construction Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway. It will integrate five major roads—Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, DND-Faridabad Highway, and Yamuna Expressway—streamlining connectivity across NCR. This corridor will connect key NCR towns like Loni, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Noida, and Faridabad with North and Southwest Delhi. It is expected to decongest critical city areas such as Sarai Kale Khan and Kalindi Kunj by offering an alternative route for intercity and freight traffic. |
