| Project Detail : | IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu laid the foundation stone on 26 June, 2025 for the road-widening project from NH-65 to Ameenpur, estimated at Rs 45 crore. The initiative is part of the broader Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project, which has a total allocation of Rs 7,032 crore. The Minister described H-CITI as a key step toward easing traffic congestion, reducing travel time, and enhancing connectivity through the construction of new flyovers, underpasses, and road expansions. “This project reflects Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s vision to make Hyderabad a national model for urban development,” Sridhar Babu stated. Emphasising sustainable urban planning, the Minister announced the introduction of 1,000 electric buses under the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), with an additional 800 under review. He also revealed plans for installing EV charging stations and AI-powered traffic signals to support eco-friendly transportation and improve pedestrian safety across the city. |
