| Project Detail : | ACME Solar Holdings has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NHPC, to supply 250 MW of electricity from a firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project in Rajasthan. The PPA is set at a tariff of Rs 4.56 per kWh, with a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 40 percent and a commitment to meet 90 percent of peak power demand for four hours daily. The innovative project combines solar, wind, and battery storage technologies to provide consistent renewable energy, aligning with India’s clean energy goals. The electricity will be transmitted through an existing Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) substation, ensuring seamless connectivity. The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) approved the tariff under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003, on 19 June, 2025. This deal strengthens ACME Solar’s position in the FDRE sector, with its total PPA-signed capacity now at 5,130 MW—of which 2,826.2 MW is already operational. ACME Solar’s total renewable energy portfolio stands at 6,970 MW, with 86 percent of its agreements linked to central government bodies and the rest with state discoms. |
