| Project Detail : | In a strategic move to position Andhra Pradesh as a national leader in aerospace and defence manufacturing, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the Aerospace and Defence Policy 4.0 (2025–2030) at the Secretariat on 23 June, 2025. The policy targets attracting investments between Rs 50,000 crore and Rs one lakh crore over the next five years, aiming to establish the state as India’s premier aerospace and defence hub. The CM emphasised the critical role of advanced technologies and innovation, citing India’s use of modern systems during Operation Sindoor as evidence of technology's growing impact on national defence. “MSMEs must be strengthened. There should be a benchmark for quality in allied industries. Value addition is essential, and marketing and branding are equally important. The vision of ‘One Family, One Entrepreneur’ must be realised,” he stated. CM Naidu proposed a Rs 100 crore annual corpus fund and logistics subsidies to support MSMEs, stressing that AP should outperform other states in this area. Aerospace and Defence Advisor Satish Reddy, joining via video conference, contributed suggestions. The policy also outlines specialised manufacturing corridors across the state to accelerate industrial growth while aligning with national security priorities. |
