Company Name : Private Company
Project Detail :The Haryana government has approved infrastructure projects worth Rs 141 crore for Gurugram, including the long-delayed Phase 2 of the city-wide CCTV surveillance and adaptive traffic management system.
Nearly three years after completing Phase 1 - comprising 1,200 cameras across 218 locations, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has received clearance to begin work on Phase 2, which will see the installation of 2,722 cameras at 258 new locations.
Approved by the High-Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Rs 109 crore surveillance upgrade is expected to enhance real-time monitoring, traffic management, and public safety. GMDA plans to begin execution after issuing work orders.
Two additional projects were sanctioned during the HPPC meeting. A Rs 17.3 crore 66 kV substation will be constructed at the Chandu Budhera Water Treatment Plant to power three filtration units. Though it will take 12 months to complete, temporary power will support operations in the interim. Another Rs 14.7 crore will go towards a four km cycle track and footpath corridor along Sectors 58–61 and 59–61 near Golf Course Extension Road, aimed at promoting non-motorised transport. The GMDA has set a nine-month completion timeline.
