| Project Detail : | The Central Government is set to launch major road infrastructure projects worth ?2 lakh crore in Telangana over the next three to four years, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced during an event in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. At the event, he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated road works worth over ?3,900 crore. Gadkari highlighted that the length of national highways in Telangana has doubled in the last decade, reaching 5,000 km, and that projects worth ?1.25 lakh crore have already been completed. The Minister also proposed implementing water conservation initiatives under the Centre’s “Amrit Sarovar” scheme and sought the cooperation of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and state leaders. Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy noted that these projects would enhance connectivity within Telangana and with neighbouring states such as Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. |
