| Project Detail : | Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has launched development initiatives worth Rs 557.18 crore in Rajkot, including projects valued at Rs 213.79 crore, under the state’s Urban Development Year initiative. Speaking at Pramukh Swami Auditorium, the CM stated these projects would significantly improve the "Ease of Living" for residents of Rajkot city and district. Among the projects, a new sports complex constructed on seven acres at a cost of Rs 8.40 crore was inaugurated to boost sports infrastructure. CM Patel highlighted Rajkot’s transformation over the last two decades through developments like Atal Sarovar, AIIMS, the international airport, and various flyovers. He announced that Rajkot would serve as one of six strategic growth hubs planned across Gujarat, modeled after Surat. A dedicated Regional Economic Plan is also underway to support this vision. Rajkot continues to emerge as a key hub for MSMEs, and the engineering, gold, silver, and jewellery sectors. |
