| Project Detail : | Serentica Renewables has announced the successful financial closure of its second external commercial borrowing (ECB) deal, securing over USD 100 million (more than Rs 830 crore) in debt financing from leading global financial institutions Rabobank and Société Générale. The funds will support the development of a 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. This strategic project will supply green energy to Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO), a major aluminium producer in India and a subsidiary of the Vedanta Group. The project aligns with Serentica's mission to decarbonise hard-to-abate industries and support India’s clean energy goals. “This successful financial close, backed by global partners like Rabobank and Société Générale, is a testament to the growing confidence in our vision to accelerate India’s energy transition,” said Akshay Hiranandani, CEO of Serentica Renewables. The ECB financing deal marks a key milestone in Serentica’s journey of enabling clean energy for large commercial and industrial consumers. With a cumulative renewable energy capacity of 1,000 MW, Serentica continues to expand its portfolio with solar, wind, energy storage, and advanced balancing solutions across multiple Indian states. |
