| Project Detail : | IRB Infrastructure Developers has approved the transfer of three major highway assets to the IRB InvIT Fund, with a combined enterprise value of Rs 8,450 crore. The assets being transferred include IRB Hapur Moradabad Tollway, Kaithal Tollway, and Kishangarh Gulabpura Tollway. The move follows the signing of a binding term sheet, subsequent to a non-binding offer made on 08 May, 2025. This strategic decision will enable IRB Infrastructure and its trust entity to unlock capital, which can be reinvested to pursue larger infrastructure projects. Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman and Managing Director of IRB Infrastructure, stated that the proceeds from the deal could support project investments nearly double the size of the transferred assets. The development is a step toward IRB’s broader aims of reaching an asset base of Rs 1,40,000 crore within the next three years. As India’s first integrated player in the highway infrastructure sector, IRB currently manages an asset base exceeding Rs 80,000 crore across 12 states. |
