Project Title :Dassault, Tata Advanced Systems to manufacture rafale fighter fuselages in India

Project Detail :Dassault Aviation has partnered with Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) by signing four Production Transfer Agreements to manufacture Rafale fighter jet fuselages in India. The production facility, to be set up in Hyderabad, will manufacture critical structural components including the rear fuselage, central fuselage, front section, and lateral shells.
The facility is slated to begin production in 2028 and aims to deliver up to two complete fuselages per month. Dassault Aviation emphasised that this facility represents a “vital investment” in India’s aerospace infrastructure and will be a critical hub for high-precision manufacturing supporting global supply chains.
Eric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation, noted the deal strengthens Dassault’s supply chain in India while aligning with the company’s quality and competitiveness standards. TASL CEO Sukaran Singh called the partnership a “significant step” in India’s aerospace journey, reflecting international confidence in India's growing manufacturing ecosystem.
The initiative supports India’s ‘Make in India’ and AtmaNirbhar Bharat missions, positioning the country as a major player in global aerospace supply chains. This strategic collaboration marks the first time Rafale fuselages will be produced outside France and is expected to significantly enhance India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
