| Company Name : | Private Company |
| Project Detail : | In preparation for Simhastha 2028, the Water Resources Department, Ujjain has initiated the construction of five barrages on the Kshipra River to ensure its purity and continuous water flow. These barrages will be built at Gothda, Radyopipliya, Jamalpura, Ramwasa, and Panthpiplai as a part of the backup strategy following the Kanha Closed Duct project. To maintain river flow during the non-monsoon season, monsoon water will be stored at Sewarkhedi and released into the Kshipra through Silarkhedi as needed over the next eight months. In a parallel effort to enhance water quality, sewage from Indore, Sanwer, and Dewas will be redirected downstream to Singawada, beyond the Gambhir Dam. Executive Engineer at WRD, Ujjain, Mayank Singh highlighted that the closed duct under construction measures 4.5 by 5 mtrs. and will divert sewage away from Kanha. Sub-Divisional Officer Mayank Parmar stated the Gothda barrage, located 200 metres upstream from the Kanha Triveni dam, will stand 4.5 mtrs. tall, 132 mtrs. long, with a thickness of over 7mtrs., 18 gates, and a capacity of 0.784 million cubic mtrs, costing Rs 6.24 crore. |
