| Project Detail : | Since April 2014, India has constructed and developed 1,01,900 km of National Highways (NHs), marking a 130% increase in annual highway construction compared to the previous decade. Currently, 1,366 highway projects spanning 32,366 km are under construction across the country, including in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and the Northeast. Most of these projects are set for phased completion by FY 2028. All NH construction follows government-mandated quality and safety standards, with road safety audits conducted at design, construction, and operational stages. To ensure compliance, independent engineers and third-party auditors oversee the work, addressing any deficiencies as needed. |
