| Project Detail : | Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh on 29 & 30 May, 2025 to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 70,000 crore, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). PM Modi's visit will begin in Sikkim where he will launch multiple initiatives, including a Rs 750 crore, 500-bed district hospital in Namchi, a passenger ropeway at Sangachoeling in Pelling, and a statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Atal Amrit Udyan in Gangtok. Later, in Alipurduar, West Bengal, he will lay the foundation stone for a Rs 1,010 crore city gas distribution (CGD) project for Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districtst. The Rs 1,010 crore project aims to provide piped natural gas (PNG) to over 2.5 lakh households and more than 100 commercial and industrial units, along with setting up approx. 19 CNG stations. The initiative is expected to boost employment opportunities and advance the use of clean energy in the region. In Patna, Bihar, he will inaugurate a Rs 1,200 crore passenger terminal at Patna Airport and lay the foundation for a Rs 1,410 crore civil enclave at Bihta Airport. On May 30, in Karakat, Bihar, he will launch projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore, including the Rs 29,930-crore Stage-II of the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, boosting energy capacity and industrial growth. |
