| Company Name : | Private Company |
| Project Detail : | The Karnataka State Cabinet has greenlit a landmark infrastructure initiative in Bengaluru, approving the construction of a 16.7-km underground tunnel road, dubbed the North-South Corridor. This high-capacity urban tunnel will link Esteem Mall at Hebbal Junction to Central Silk Board Junction in HSR Layout, aiming to ease chronic traffic congestion. Estimated to cost Rs 17,780 crore, the project will be executed in two packages and completed within three years. The tunnel will feature multiple two to three-lane entry and exit points, improving north-south mobility across the city. Deputy CM D K Shivakumar announced that the government will float a global tender and decide between a hybrid model or build–own–operate–transfer) (BOOT) approach after technical reviews. The procurement model will be finalised in coordination with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. In a parallel move, the cabinet also approved a Rs 4,792 crore waste management project for BBMP limits, to be implemented in 33 packages over seven years. Unlike previous schemes, this initiative consolidates operations to improve waste segregation, vehicle management, and construction waste handling. |
