| Project Detail : | Among the important projects include the ?20,000 crore greenfield Parandur airport. Tamil Nadu is getting set to take up over 50 infrastructure projects worth over ?45,000 crore, for which the bids will be out in next 1-2 years. Among others, these include the upcoming greenfield airport at Parandur, two pump storage projects, and a thermal power project near Chennai. All these large scale projects will be under the public-private-partnership mode, sources said. There are transmission projects; 24X7 water supply projects, a desalination plant, industrial infrastructure and waste-to-energy project, they added. Large projects are expected to take 5-6 years for completion, while the smaller ones would take two years. the largest among the ppp projects would be the centre giving its in principal approval for the parandur project, the bid is under preparation for the project to be taken up at around 20000 crore. |
